Floating Dragon slots compared: six Pragmatic Play versions, their RTPs, bonuses and the 5,000x vs 20,000x caps
Short answer — Pragmatic Play lists six Floating Dragon slots on its official site. Five sit between 96.50% and 96.71% RTP. Dragon Boat Festival is the outlier at 96.07%. Two pages state a maximum win: Hold and Spin at 5,000x, the original 2021 game, and Megaways at 20,000x. The family mixes two bonus types: a money-symbol Hold & Spin and Big Bass-style free spins, where wilds collect fish money symbols and every fourth wild raises a 2x, 3x then 10x multiplier. The original: two bonuses on one game
Floating Dragon Hold and Spin has both bonus types. Three money symbols (1x–20x) on the middle reel start Hold & Spin with three respins. Every new symbol pays all visible values and resets the counter, and diamonds worth 100x–4,993x can land. Separately, 3, 4 or 5 scatters give 10, 15 or 20 free spins, where wilds collect fish money symbols worth up to 500x. Every fourth wild retriggers with a 2x, 3x and then a higher multiplier.
How the sequels change it
- Year of the Snake keeps the collect-wild free spins and adds up to five random modifiers before the round, such as more money symbols, more wilds or starting the trail at level two. Two scatters can be topped up to three by a random feature.
- Wild Horses gives 15–25 spins and uses two wild meters, one for the princess and one for the horse. Money symbols go up to 5,000x.
- Dragon Boat Festival moves to 10 paylines, and its Hold & Spin uses “lives” that reset when coins land. It has the lowest RTP of the six.
- Megaways plays on 6×6 reels with up to 236,196 ways, keeps both bonus types and states the highest cap at 20,000x.
- New Year Festival Ultra Megaways adds three randomly unlocked rows, cascades and 147,456 ways.
RTP and caps in pesos
On ₱10,000 of total bets, the expected long-run cost is ₱329 for the original Hold and Spin and Year of the Snake (96.71%), and ₱393 for Dragon Boat Festival (96.07%), by our calculation, a ₱64 difference. On a ₱10 bet, the stated caps are ₱50,000 for Hold and Spin and ₱200,000 for Megaways. The pages state the ceilings but not how often they are reached.
Which Floating Dragon to open
- For the classic with both bonuses and the top RTP, choose Floating Dragon Hold and Spin.
- For extra pre-bonus modifiers at the same RTP, choose Year of the Snake.
- For the highest ceiling, choose Megaways, accepting wider swings.
- If RTP matters to you, skip Dragon Boat Festival, or confirm its setting in the game first.
